Power On has been driving industry change, championing competition, opening markets for independent connections providers, and helping to define the regulated codes to which the industry now operates.

Power On established – based out of Potters Marston in Leicester
2003
Power On gains Independent Connections Provider (ICP) status

2006
Power On achieves full National Electricity Registration Scheme (NERS) accreditation


2007
Energisation of first ICP (Power On) built primary substation for adoption by the DNO (Central Networks) at Prologis Park, Pineham

2008
Power On acquired by GTC
2010
BUUK Infrastructure becomes the new parent company for Power On, as well as GTC
2011
Power On opens its first Northern office in Leeds

2012
Power On becomes the first ICP accredited to conduct High Voltage (HV) operations by Lloyds Register

Power On opens its Southern operational depot, operating out of Childerditch
2014
Power On achieves ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 18001 (now ISO 45001) accreditation

Power On becomes accredited under the Contractors Health & Safety Assessment Scheme (CHAS)

Power On achieves Safety Management Advisory Services (SMAS) Worksafe accreditation
