Innovative solution – making the complex simple

Power On is the UK’s leading Independent Connections Provider (ICP), delivering innovative, efficient, competitive, and compliant new electricity connections for even the most complex projects.

We can design, deliver, and adopt electricity distribution networks, arranging for their long-term ownership through our group’s regulated Independent Distribution Network Operator (IDNO) licence. This brings many additional benefits to our customers including vastly enhanced control of the connections programme and phased energisations through our ability to self-connect the assets we install to the upstream network.

We are also accredited to carry out self-determination. We can ascertain the nearest point of connection ourselves which speeds up the process considerably.

Power On provided three new substations and on-site HV/LV infrastructure to serve a new hotel, cinema and retail spaces at Catterick Princes Gate. They supported us throughout from tender to delivery and provided a professional service to ensure supplies were energised on time and achieved all the necessary approvals.

Our Utility Solution

All Utilities. One Provider

Electricity is crucial to the drive for zero carbon. Generated by clean, renewable sources and powering everything from heating to EV charging points and smart home technology, electricity networks will be at the heart of new developments.

We provide electricity connection solutions on new-build developments nationwide. Our utility experts create customised designs for each project – whatever its type or size and however complex, offering new electricity connections: Extra High Voltage (EHV), High Voltage (HV) or large Low Voltage (LV) supplies.

Power On is ideally placed to unlock the benefits of competition in the water market and pass these onto our customers. We can offer highly competitive pricing along with the benefits already seen from our coordinated service delivery for all utilities.

We design, install, own, and operate the water networks for developments. Our licensed water company, Independent Water Networks, manages the long-term operation and maintenance of these networks.

Power On adopt foul and surface water infrastructure. We offer a flexible, phased approach to adoption and manage the entire process.

Working with our customers, we find the best possible solution for each development. We offer a fast and efficient approval and adoption service, and our licensed water company, Independent Water Networks, manages the long-term operation and maintenance of the wastewater network.

Power On’s 100% fibre networks are gigabit capable, already delivering service packages up to 1Gbps. This meets the requirements recommended by DCMS and allows customers to enjoy ultrafast broadband, television, online streaming, and telephone services.

The Future Homes Standard is expected to end the use of gas for heating new homes by 2025. Power On is ideally placed to support our customers in the migration from gas-fired heating to zero-carbon heating solutions.

We have Lloyds Gas Industry Registration Scheme (GIRS) accreditation for the design, project management and audit of our gas networks. This ensures that they are constructed and delivered to the highest possible standards, meeting stringent industry specifications for safe and secure gas supplies, regulated by OFGEM.
